About the Artist: Kyle Velez is a young Surrealist artist from Las Vegas, New Mexico. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, his art serves as a conduit for the complexities of vanity and the way the body is viewed from the knowing outsider. Drawing from personal experience, Velez sheds light on the hidden and sometimes disturbing realms of the human mind. His work reflects the sensitivity and struggle of the varying phases of mental health, inner conflict and emotion. His work has been displayed in galleries and auctions in Albuquerque and Las Vegas, Nevada. With an associates in fine arts, and a bachelors in progress, Velez continues his study while painting for clients worldwide.
